The 1st Psalm. Beatus vir.

View Pointing:

1Blessed is the man
that doth not walk
in the counsel of the wicked,
and in the way of sinners
doth not stand,
and in the seat of the scornfula
doth not sit.

2But rather in the Law
of the Lord is his delight,
and in His Law doth he meditate
day and night.

3And he shall be like a tree
that is planted by rivers of water,
that which bringeth forth
his fruit in his season;
and his leaf shall not wither,
and all that he doeth shall prosper.b

4Not so the wicked,
but rather like the chaff
which the wind driveth away.
5Therefore the wicked
shall not stand in the judgment,c
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6For the Lord knoweth
the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked shall perish.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit;
as it was in the beginning, both now and ever,
and unto ages of ages. Amen.
